Ithra Film Production (IFP) is a program by King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (iThra). The program was designed to produce creative, impactful, and high quality films that align with the Center’s  vision to support Saudi filmmakers by producing local content and enriching the Saudi film industry with films by Saudi filmmakers. 

TalentS was commissioned to develop a training program to build capacity of Saudi Directors, supervised the pre-production, production, and post production phases for the film. TalentS also designed and operated the premiere screening event and supervised the distribution of the films. One of the full feature films was “Valley Road” that was written and directed by the Saudi Director Khalid Fahad.

TalentS also supervised a fund for the co-production of 10 Saudi films. Two short films were supported by the Ithra Film Production,” Old Phone Number”  by the Saudi director & writer Ali Saeed and the short film “Swing” by the Saudi director Raneem Al Mohandes.

The short film “Old Phone Number” was the opening ceremony film for the Saudi Film Festival 2022. 

The two short films participated the prestigious Cannes and Carthage Film Festivals.  

“Valley Road” feature film was selected to be the closing ceremony film for Red Sea International Film Festival 2022. 

“Valley Road” premiered across cinemas in the Kingdom during the summer of 2023.

TalentS was commissioned to create and provide an intensive schools training program on how to design and build F1 cars. The program was aimed at intermediate and high school students.

Our educational and practical programming prepared the students and their cars to compete with other students locally, regionally and even globally. 

Five hubs in five cities across the Kingdom were equipped and prepared to accommodate the intensive student training program over a period of four months.

Talents was consulted by the Ministry of Culture to develop ideas for 420 creative and cultural events over a period of 6 months, targeting 16 different cultural sectors across Saudi Arabia. This project consisted of 31 brilliant and creative team members.

In order to devise such a large number of creative and cultural events, TalentS brought in the finest subject matter experts in culture & heritage, innovation & technology, user experience journey, and research. Our experts worked and collaborated with project managers, graphic designers, illustrators, copy writers and translators to build a rich array of ideas that were both ambitious and achievable in such a compressed timeline. 

The subject matter experts were supported by our teams to generate daily ideas for MOC to revise and approve on a monthly basis.

TalentS was selected by iThra to curate and operate courses for the iThra Academy learning program. iThra Academy provides established professionals, children and young people with a variety of workshops in a range of fields, such as creative leadership, art & design, film & performing arts, music, science & technology, and creative writing.

As part of this program, TalentS successfully produced a selection of 128 workshops and more than 50 talks.

iThra Academy courses range from 1-20 days, and are available to the public from Fall 2021 through to Winter 2023.

TalentS were fundamental in supporting the landmark excavation of the site of Doumat Al Jandal. This project marked the first time the Heritage Commission has engaged the private sector in the archaeological excavation of the Kingdom.

We aimed to support the archaeologists throughout their excavation, providing housing, food, tools, camps, and related logistical services, ensuring all equipment was onsite and the camp ready before excavations began. 

Overall, TalentS ensured the smooth running of the operations onsite from start to finish, providing a memorable working environment for the archaeologists and exceeding expectations.

Saudi Film Days is an initiative from King Abdulaziz for World Culture (iThra) that celebrates and empowers nine Saudi directors. The aim of this initiative was to enhance local film content, and to share a side of Saudi culture and local social aspects with the world.

TalentS was the operating company who handled the journey of Saudi Film days in 2018 and 2019. The journey started with the training & development of the 9 chosen directors.

 The training included the development of their scripts and enhancing the skills of the chosen directors. We also trained the directors in marketing & then advertising their films, along the way we offered each filmmaker a mentor to guide them through the production of the film. TalentS also provided management services for the full production journey of each film. The films were first screened in a private red carpet event in Riyadh’s VOX Cinema.

TalentS was commissioned to design, fitout, and operate the Mishkat Interactive Center, Riyadh’s first energy science center.

TalentS scope of work includes the design, fabrication supervision, operations planning, recruitment, staff training, content & exhibition upgrades, visitor services, maintenance, and full operations. 

Mishkat was commissioned by the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE), Mishkat is a launchpad for learning, inspiring a new generation of Saudi Arabian energy innovators. 

Mishkat was the recipient of the Emirates Energy Award in Education and Capacity Building category. 

Mishkat was also the bronze award recipient for Saving Joule at the New York Film Festival. 

Mishkat also won the Best Creative Project (Big Idea) for “Last Drop” film and its accompanying programs awarded by Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA).

In 2019, TalentS was selected to provide the operations, production, and overall management of Tanween. 

TalentS worked with experts from around the world to bring 14 different experiences to life that    ranged from art installation to exhibitions, playgrounds, custom shops, and fine dining experiences.

TalentS prepared and installed the projects within three weeks and operated the experiences for       five weeks. 

Tanween is a yearly season that is launched and maintained by iThra.

In September 2017, TalentS UAE was awarded a 3-year contract by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) to recruit, train and manage the new mediator team at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Talents UAE worked on ‘In Gallery Enhancements’, developing a range of activities aligned to visitor’s needs and flow times. These enhancements brought the existing galleries to life by increasing engagement opportunities and encouraging visitors to connect with and take ownership of the art in front of them.

These activities also established a relationship between the museum and a whole new audience, including children or those previously less engaged with the art world, thereby widening the reach and impact of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

TalentS was selected by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority to prepare and train the Etihad Museum management team for opening to the public. Set on the site once known as Union House, The Etihad Museum tells the story of the United Arab Emirates Founding Fathers and the nations journey to shaping a bright future. 

With the senior management team, we shared our experiences of operating national museums and helped identify challenges in daily operations and in opening a new destination. We provided an intensive training program for the visitor services team which fully orientated each member of staff to their role. The scope of work also included the development of learning programs, and printed activity packs bringing the Museum’s stories to life for school and family audiences.
