Saudi Aramco Gifted Programs

A flagship program designed, created, and operated by TalentS for Saudi Aramco. TalentS role was      the overall management of the summer camp, design content for STEM programming, and training the instructors. 

TalentS was gifted with yet another Opportunity in 2018  to not only engage gifted students in an immersive learning experience but to also stress on the added value that it brings to informal learning experiences. 

The gifted students program brought in  200 students from cities across the Kingdom to a residential, educational camp where they were given extensive and hands-on training in engineering, English, life skills, and sports.

TalentS had operated the flagship program in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

TalentS created FabLab Dhahran as a creative makerspace that is packed with the latest in digital fabrication equipment. TalentS was in charge of operating and activating the workshops, community programs and competitions. 

The FabLab was commissioned by Saudi Aramco and the Scientific Research Deanship of the King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals, Two additional FabLabs were created in Jubair, and in Hail.

Location: Different cities across Saudi Arabia

TalentS was tasked to work on a gap analysis study of the 10 vocational workshops needed to support the industry. TalentS designed and implemented the 10 vocational workshop pilots in the following fields.

  6. Tourism & Hospitality

Adopting the idea of constructing technical workshops in secondary schools by the Ministry of Education and TETCO was aligned with taking the Saudi Ministry of Labor and Industrial Development, Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, and Saudi manufacturing companies interest to establish technical institutes, focusing on improving secondary- school grad students; qualifications in the industrial areas and on building the required capacities and skills in Saudi labor market.

TalentS was tasked to facilitate the operational maintenance of the Energy galleries at the King Salman Science Oasis (KSSO).

The aim of the project is to support public education and the dissemination of scientific culture in KSA society. The scope of work was to provide required services related to operational maintenance of the Energy galleries. 

The galleries are housed in two buildings, each with a mezzanine floor linked together by a light tunnel. The total exhibit area is approximately 1400 square meters. There are 12 exhibition zones across these four levels, containing 44 individually themed exhibits.

Location: Across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 130 schools.

A flagship TETCO initiative with the Ministry of Education led and created by Talents to undertake the mammoth task of creating 130 makerspaces, training over 200 teachers, and 10,000 students across the Kingdom. 

TETCO Makerspaces engaged students in critical 21st century skills in STEM, (science, technology, engineering, and math) with the approach being fully collaborative, explorative, and cutting-edge.

Using a hands-on approach, these spaces not only inspired learning-by-doing but also honed students’ critical thinking skills and boosted their self-confidence.

TalentS provided a turnkey solution to provide the following:

  • Design of school makerspaces
  • Rehabilitation of the space and installation of equipment
  • Training teachers on content delivery
  • Content design of 30 learning hours
  • Design and delivery of online supporting platforms

iRead Program

A flagship program designed, created, and operated by TalentS for Saudi Aramco. TalentS role was the overall management of the competitions, the readers camp, and the design of the online platform. 

The iRead program includes workshops, lectures, and intensive training programs culminating in a national completion. Every element of the program is designed to develop critical thinking skills in literature and build confidence by connecting with Middle Eastern writers & artists, enabling participants to present their ideas in a creative and powerful way.

The iRead program celebrates photography, running a special competition that challenged professional photographers – both men and women – to communicate why reading matters.

SciTech Center

TalentS were invited to conduct a study and consultation services for the upgrade and replacement of the scientific exhibits at Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Science & Technology Center in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. 

The scope of work called for a complete professional evaluation & upgrade studies of its exhibits, graphics and all related contents of the galleries and for a plan to be proposed for their redevelopment.

As also requested, the displays were thoroughly inspected, studied and monitored. Safety of the equipment and visitors was considered and the evaluation includes concept, electrical and mechanical systems and overall of floor settings. We included  detailed descriptions of all items on display along with our recommendations and route maps for improvement to refresh and renovate the center.

iSpark Mobile

Location: The Eastern Region, Medinah, Qassim, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia

TalentS co-developed the iSpark Mobile program with the world-famous Lawrence Hall of Science.          at the University of California, Berkeley.  

This is a Saudi Aramco initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Tatweer, engaging 47,000 students over the length of the program. With a focus on science, technology, engineering,      and mathematics (STEM), students were presented with challenges and encouraged to imagine, experiment, and work as a team.

The program proved to have a deep impact on participants, with a Dammam student saying

“After participating in iSpark, I know I have a bright future ahead of me.”

STEMania

STEMania

Design and Build , Operate and Activate

Location: STEMania was operated in 16 community clubs in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah Dammam, Khobar, Saihat and Ahssa.

TalentS designed and operated the STEMania program based after-school program that includes activities that provide challenging hands-on STEM curriculum for two Academic semesters.

STEMania is an initiative lead by the Saudi Aramco Women Development and Diversity Division and operated with the collaboration of the Ministry Of Education. It toured the kingdom reaching over    4,500 young girls with the aspiration to increase women’s contribution to science, technology, engineering and Math fields.
