iSpark mobile is an inspirational experience that triggers a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in the young hearts of Saudi male and female students in public schools.
It uses the latest student-centered and hands-on learning methodologies. On October 2012, the program started its scientific expedition visiting select Eastern Province schools with the aim of igniting scientific curiosity in the minds of 8,000 Saudi youth between the ages of 14 to 16 by engaging them in an unforgettable experience.
On a weekly basis, four SUVs visited four schools enriching a total of 400 students a week. During each school visit, workshops were conducted in two sessions, a morning session and an afternoon session, each with a capacity of 25 students.
This experience was conveyed by a team of Saudi trainers trained by international professional instructors from the Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley
